Cardinals Were "Upset" That Healthy DeAndre Hopkins Missed Games.

According to reports, wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins' refusal to play in any games in 2022, despite being healthy, irritated the Arizona Cardinals.

Cardinals staff writer Kyle Odegard, who has been with the team for a while, broke the story that Hopkins was accused. According to the article, some members of the Cardinals organization were displeased with Hopkins' choice to skip the last two games of the 2022 season.

His assertions are supported by Odegard's lengthy stay with the Cardinals, which begins in 2013 and ends in 2021. During that time, Hopkins played for the team twice.

In March of 2020, the Arizona Cardinals acquired DeAndre Hopkins from the Houston Texans in a trade. Upon joining the Cardinals, he wasted no time establishing an impression thanks to his outstanding talent and ability to set up plays.

Hopkins, though, missed 10 games the following season due to a slew of injuries. He overcame the obstacles and finished with 42 receptions for 572 yards.

Hopkins proved his worth to the Cardinals and the significance of his offensive contributions with his tenacity and effect while playing in limited opportunities.

Not having Hopkins play in the last two games of the 2022 season contributed to the Cardinals' dismal 4-13 record.

While DeAndre Hopkins was a member of the Arizona Cardinals, he was under scrutiny for allegedly refusing to play while healthy. The claims make one wonder what happened on the squad and what led to Hopkins' unexpected release.
