Exclusive: Caitlin Clark Unlikely to Feature in Team USA Lineup for Paris Olympics

Caitlin Clark, the WNBA rookie sensation and college scoring leader, is expected to be left off the Team USA roster for the Paris Olympics, according to insider information

While the official announcement of Team USA’s roster has not yet been made, sources indicate that the squad traveling to Paris will consist of 12 veterans, excluding Clark.

The anticipated roster includes renowned WNBA stars such as Brittney Griner, A’ja Wilson, and Breanna Stewart, reinforcing Team USA’s formidable lineup for the international competition.

A spokesperson for Team USA declined to confirm the roster decision, stating that no official announcement has been made at this time.

Despite her standout performances in the WNBA, Clark's inclusion on the Olympic roster has been questioned due to inconsistencies in her long-range shooting and turnovers during her rookie season.

Clark’s absence from the Olympic roster represents a missed opportunity for Team USA to capitalize on her growing popularity and draw additional attention to the competition.

Clark's presence in the WNBA has sparked increased interest in women’s basketball, leading to larger arena crowds and heightened television viewership.

While Clark may not feature in the Paris Olympics, she remains a promising talent with potential future Olympic opportunities, possibly in the 2028 Los Angeles Olympics.
